The excitement of the approaching Syawal is felt by children and adults alike, especially as radio stations start playing nostalgic Hari Raya songs and the womenfolk get busy baking cookies (nowdays most of people only baking 'kuih tunjuk'.. rite?), buy new clothes, gowd everywhere sales!! and putting up new curtains. It is also the time when the men in the family start cleaning up the compound or giving the home a new coat of paint. That is what we call as Aidilfitri Fever...
